Q. How long is your CCW course?
A. You should allow Approximately 6 hours from start to finish.
Q. Why is the course 6 hours? Most places only take 4 hours?
A. The Utah State mandated material takes approximately 4 hours to lecture, however we feel it is in your best interest, and the interest of public safety, for you to receive training that is more comprehensive than simply being lectured to or listening to an instructor read out of the manual. In addition to the mandated material, our instructor will teach you how to carry, and the basics of handling a firearm safely. All instructors have years of experience in the field and most have served in Special Operations throughout different branches of the Military, as such we feel the additional material covered in those 2 extra hours will give you sufficient knowledge to properly and appropriately carry a concealed firearm.
Q. When can I send in my application?
A. You can mail your completed application, along with your fingerprints and photo Immediately upon complete of the course. In many cases our instructors can hand-deliver your application to the BCI for you.
Q. How long does it take to receive my permit?
A. You should allow for approximately 35-40 days for the BCI to process your application. If you have submitted your application more than 40 days ago and have not received your permit you can check the status of the application by calling the BCI at 801-965-4445.

A. NO. When you come to the CCW class the intention is for you to be trained and to meet the requirements mandated by the State of Utah for you to receive a Concealed Firearms Permit. Our instructors are not sales people. Ready Gunner is a well-stocked Firearms dealer, so should you choose to purchase your next firearm here you will be well taken care of.
